The Source Selection Official for the $1.4 billion contract to manage the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education was Dr. Julie Carruthers, senior science and technology advisor in DOE’s Office of Science.
The contract was awarded March 10 to Oak Ridge Associated Universities, long-time incumbent. No word yet on whether Desert Research Institute, the losing bidder, will file an appeal on the big contract award.
Meanwhile, Carruthers was mentioned in a report last week by The Daily Caller about a congressional investigation at DOE.
