UT-Battelle, the government’s managing contractor at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since 2000, scored high marks on its Fiscal Year 2015 report card from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science.
The contractor received an overall performance score of 94 (out of 100) and earned a fee of $10,669,000 (out of a maximum possible $11,350,000).
In a letter to ORNL Director Thom Mason, DOE’s Johnny Moore praised the contractor for exceeding expectations for leadership and stewardship of the national laboratory. Here’s the report card and its letter grades (mostly A’s):
A- Mission Accomplishments (Quality and Productivity of R&D)
B+ Construction and Operation of Research Facilities
A- S&T Project/Program Management
A Contractor Leadership/Stewardship
A- Environment, Safety and Health
